Community Outreach Project

*InnerACTIONS; A Message of Prevention through Inspiration", is an educational outreach project whose purpose is to use performance mediums to positively impact our youth in the prevention of at risk behaviors. Our goal is to use the power of movement, vocal and theatre arts in a critical call to ACTION for the prevention of at-risk behaviors. Under the umbrella of InnerRhythms, RhythMatriX offers a message of "prevention through inspiration" to help problem-solve, enhance communication and promote cooperation between our youth and the community they live in. We are encouraging teens to promote leadership skills and civic engagement in addressing and preventing the problems related to substance abuse. Youth self-empowerment is a VITAL tool in our fight against this serious community concern.

We are extremely proud to announce that through the help of InnerRhythms and the Placer County Community Wellness Organization, InnerACTIONS has reached hundreds of local teens.  In July, the InnerACTIONS Project has been invited to perform for the National Training Institutes 2010 Conference at Georgetown University in Washington D.C.

*Funding for the pilot project generously contributed by the Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation through their Civic Engagement Fund 2007. Additionally, InnerRhythms and the InnerACTIONS project is the proud recipient of a generous grant through The Queen of Hearts Fund providing funding for five shows presented at local schools including Truckee High School, Sierra High, North Tahoe High School and Middle School as well as Incline High and Middle Schools, in the amount of $10,000.
