2002
  • InnerRhythms was founded in July as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation
  • InnerRhythms Dance Theatre auditioned 12 dancers in September
  • Presentedour Inaugural Summer GALA Concert in April 2003
  • Hosted the 1st Annual Appetizers for the Arts, signature fundraiser, in March 2003.  September 2003 brought auditions for 20 new dancers for the Dance Theatre
  • InnerRhythms institutes scholarship and work trade programs for students with financial need
2004
  • Performance collaborations with Arts For the Schools, Tahoe Women’s Services,Sierra Valley Arts andSierra Nevada College
  • Mentored the dance troupe at the Boys and Girls Club in Kings Beach through the summer
  • Opened its own regional Dance Centre in September
  • Began a ten year alliance with Reno Artown as part of the Dancin' in the Park Tuesday night Concert series
  • September launched an eleven year partnership with Trails and Vistas This beautiful collaboration with the Truckee Donner Land Trust and Arts For the Schools, is a celebration of the environment through the arts
2007 - 2009
  • August of 2007, the Dance Theatre performed key roles in Midsummer Nightmareon theShakespeare Sand Harbor stage with former members of Cirque De Soleil
  • InnerRhythms continues in partnership with Trails and Vistas every September.  This unique art event sells out every year
  • In May 2009, InnerRhythms and RhythMatriX, proudly launched InnerACTIONS, a Community Outreach project.  The purpose of the Project was to use performance mediums to positively impact our youth offering A Message of Prevention thru Inspiration
2010 - 2012
  • InnerRhythms moved the Dance Centre to its current location in January 2010, providing two new studio spaces
  • The InnerACTIONS Project was invited to perform at the National Children’s Mental Health Conference in Washington DC in July 2010, sponsored by Georgetown University and in November 2010, for Sierra Health Foundation’s Youth Conference in Sacramento April 2011 took the Project to Charlotte, NC  InnerACTIONS was presented to middle and high school aged youth in Lyon and Storey county schools in Nevada in April 2012 and to numerous schools in Placer, Nevada, Sierra and Plumas counties in California and Washoe County, NV
  • Dance Theatre was awarded the privilege of working and performing with Project Bandaloop and KUNST-STOFF during September and October 2010
  • In 2011 the Dance Theatre performed alongside Na Lei Hulu and BARE Dance Company and 2012 brought Lula Washington to the Dance Centre  These invaluable experiences were made possible, in collaboration with Arts For theSchools, through the InnerState Grant of the James Irvine Foundation
2013 - 2016
  • August 2013 brought another studio expansion, adding an additional 2,500 square feet in response to a constant and growing demand for more classes  The Dance Centre houses over 50 dance classes per week and shares studio time with Tahoe Mountain Fitness.
